Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Medina, Ohio. Completed plans call for the construction of a one-story above grade educational facility.
Sealed bids are requested for the MCCC New Ken Cleveland Construction Trades Academy Building 2 project. Bids must align with the provided contract documents. All bids are to be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the form of a Bid Guaranty & Contract Bond for the full amount of the bid (including all add alternates) or a certified check, cashier's check, or an irrevocable letter of credit for 10% of the bid amount (including all add alternates), as described in the Instructions to Bidders. No bidder may withdraw its bid within 60 days after opening. The owner reserves the right to waive irregularities in bids, reject any or all bids, and to conduct investigations to determine bidder responsibility. The abbreviated summary the Work consists of the following: (refer to drawings for additional information) 1. Interior Alterations - Main School Bldg. - Second Floor Areas 2. Plumbing, Fire Protection, HVAC and Electrical work 1.05 Type of Contract: Project will be constructed under a single prime contract. 1.06 Use of Premises: A. Contractor shall have limited use of premises for construction operations. B. Use of Site: Limit use of premises to work in areas indicated. Confine operations at the site to the areas permitted under the Contract. Do not disturb portions of project site beyond areas in which the work is indicated without prior written approval of Owner. 1. Owner Occupancy: Allow for Owner occupancy of buildings and use of the adjacent interior and exterior areas. 2. Driveways and Entrances: Keep main driveways, loading areas, and entrances serving premises clear and available to Owner, Owner's employees andemergency vehicles at all times. Do not use these areas for parking or storage of materials. a. Schedule deliveries to minimize use of driveways and entrances. b. Schedule deliveries to minimize space and time requirements for storage of materials and equipment on-site. c. When school is in session, no deliveries will be permitted between the following hours: 7:45 AM - 8:15 AM 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM 3. Do not unreasonably encumber the site with materials or equipment. Confine stockpiling of materials and location of any storage trailers to the parking areas north of the work site. 4. Owner will allow storage of materials in their building to facilitate project schedule. 5. The existing parking lot southwest of the construction area will be vacated by the School and made available to the Contractor for parking, staging and other uses
