The City has set the final completion date for the project as November 27, 2026; however, the bidder's will be given the opportunity to submit an earlier completion date, if they desire. Completion date will be one of the factors utilized by the City of Medina when evaluating bids. The bidder must submit a completion date with the bid submitted. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified or Cashier's Check, or a bid bond, in the amount of 10 percent of the total amount bid, made payable to the City of Medina, Ohio as guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into with the City within thirty (30) days and its performance secured by a performance bond in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price, and in default thereof, said check or bond will be forfeited to the City of Medina as liquidated damages. In addition, each bid must be accompanied by a non-collusion affidavit. Refunds will be made for contract documents returned to the City Engineer in good condition within ten (10) calendar days of the bid opening.
