Renovation of an educational facility in West Bend, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.

The work consists of replacing the existing primary metered electrical distribution system with a new secondary metered electrical distribution system at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee Washington County campus building. All (4) existing unit substations are to be removed and properly disposed of. Three new secondary metered utility transformers will be installed to feed four new secondary metered electrical services, with corresponding new secondary feeders routed into the building. New "ILine" style distribution panels will be installed to replace the old unit substations, and all existing loads will be spliced and extended to the new panel boards. The project also includes minor landscaping to restore disturbed areas. The electrical contractor will act as the prime contractor and provide all labor and materials for this turnkey project. Bids must be submitted electronically using the provided bid forms; partial bids are not allowed unless otherwise stated. Attendance at a mandatory prebid meeting is required for bid eligibility. Bid security must be provided in the form of a bid bond equal to five percent of the bid amount. The successful bidder must also provide a 100% Performance/Payment Bond and acceptable Certificate of Insurance. All bidders must be experienced in this type of work and must submit a completed Bidder's Statement of Qualifications at least five days prior to the bid opening, along with three references for similar projects completed in the past three years. The County reserves the right to waive informalities or reject any bids, and to cancel the contract for noncompliance with terms and specifications. The award may be made in the aggregate or by item groups to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder.
