The project site is located north of North 25th Street and south of an existing flood protection levee. 1. The majority of the Project site is situated within the levee critical area, defined as the area extending from 500 feet landward to 300 feet riverward of the levee centerline. Refer to Section 01 41 24A. 2. A small portion of the Work extends within the levee Right-of-Way (new electrical pathway over the floor protection levee to the existing Intake Structure - See Sheet 01C301). A separate notice to proceed will be provided by the Owner to initiate this work within the levee ROW ("Notice to Proceed with Levee Crossing"). No work within the levee ROW may begin until this separate notice is issued. Owner anticipates issuing Notice to Proceed with Levee Crossing in the third quarter of 2026. B. The Project includes constructing the Work broadly described below, in accordance with the Contract Documents, with all related appurtenances. The Work includes the furnishing of labor, materials, equipment and services for the construction of the following: High Service Pump Station and other electrical improvements at the Narrows WTP site located in the SE 1/4 of 22nd Section 75N Township 44W Range, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. This includes, but is not limited to, the following: o Construction of a new High Service Pump Station at the Narrows WTP site. o Construction of approximately 3,500 LF of 24 IN, 30 IN, and 36 IN DIA finished water piping with a maximum bury depth of about 20 FT. Water main construction includes connections to existing water main and miscellaneous valves and fittings. o Electrical service (utility and standby power) improvements to the new High Service Pump Station and existing Water Treatment Plant, Intake Structure, and Production Well No. 3.
