MBE 5.60% of the Contract Price. WBE 11.1% of the Contract Price. A. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents prepared by BWA ARCHITECTURE INC and consists of the following 1. The Work consists primarily of window replacement with energy-efficient aluminum windows with operable windows. Replacement of select hollow metal doors and frames are also included. Work shall also include select bathroom renovations, select stairwell work, and site work including handrails and concrete stairs. 2. The project shall include all miscellaneous work typically associated with window and door replacement projects, including-but-not-limited to the following: salvaging for reinstallation of existing security contacts. 3. Other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. 4. The Work includes selective interior and exterior demolition as required to complete the above work, whether or not such demolition is indicated on drawings. 5. The work shall be performed in accordance with the Consolidated Massachusetts State Building Code, incorporating architectural, accessibility, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection regulations, with which the Contractor shall be familiar. Additional regulatory requirements are referenced in the individual Sections. B. Type of Contract: 1. Project will be constructed under a single prime contract. The project consists of, but is not limited to, window and door replacement and ADA upgrades at Sisson Elementary School in Lynn, Massachusetts. Bidders must submit sealed bids electronically. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the category of work, Doors and Windows, and must provide a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Prime/General Contractor Update Statement. Filed sub-bidders must be DCAMM certified in Miscellaneous and Ornamental Metals, Painting, and Plumbing, and must include a current DCAMM Sub-Bidder Certificate of Eligibility and a signed DCAMM Sub-Bidder's Update Statement. All bids must be accompanied by a bid deposit not less than five percent (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (including all alternates), payable to the City of Lynn. Bidding is electronic only and hard copy bids will not be accepted. Instructions on electronic registration are provided in the bid documents. The City of Lynn reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids or any part thereof and make the award as may appear in the best interest of the City.
