In general, the work consists of replacing the existing 250 kilowatt exterior generator serving the Rita Tallent Picken Regional Center for the Arts and Humanities on the UW-Parkside campus. The existing generator and associated accessories, components, conductors, etc. are to be demolished and replaced with new, as described within the project documents. The new generator is sized and rated to match the existing generator specification. Existing conduit paths, raceway, pull and junction boxes are to be salvaged and protected for the installation of new conductors between the new generator and existing downstream distribution equipment. All potential bidders must be certified by the Department of Administration before submitting bids on state construction projects with budgets over $100,000. Contractors who are not certified will have their bids rejected. Certification instructions can be found on the DOA website. Bids must be submitted as a PDF scanned file of all required bid documents, including bid and bid bond forms with original wet signatures or properly transmitted electronic signatures, via the eBuilder Bidding Portal (preferred), by US mail or third-party delivery, or hand-delivery to the specified drop box.
