Site work, paving and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in Barco, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the construction of a 1,683-square-foot, one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field.
Questions and/or requests for clarification shall be submitted in writing to Trischa Quinlan, Contracts and Purchasing Agent by email to Bids@CurrituckCountyNC.gov no later than 5:00 pm on Thursday, January 8, 2026. The scope of work consists of the construction of two baseball/softball fields and associated parking lots, facilities, services, and amenities, located at 181 Maple Parkway, Barco, North Carolina. Bids shall be lump sum bids based upon the scope of work defined in the Contract Documents, Plans, and Specifications. Each bid must be accompanied by a cash deposit or certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid as a guarantee that a contract will be entered into, or a bid bond as prescribed by North Carolina General Statutes. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 30 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. All bidders must meet the licensing requirements under Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes. Small Business Entities, Women Owned Businesses, Minority Owned Businesses, Veteran and Service-disabled Veteran Owned Businesses are encouraged to submit bids. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities.
