Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Glenview, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Scope of Work HMA pavement reconstruction and replacement, approximately 4,010 LF of water main installation, approximately 2,390 LF of storm sewer installation, miscellaneous sanitary sewer improvements, concrete curb and gutter construction/replacement, sidewalk construction/replacement, driveway replacement, parkway restoration, and other miscellaneous items of work. This item shall consist of installing cast iron detectable warning tiles as shown on the plans. All work and material shall be in accordance with Section 424 of the Illinois Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, applicable portions of the IDOT Highway Standards, and in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG) except as herein modified. The Contractor and the Engineer shall inspect the jobsite and determine which structure/s are not safe for motorists. The Village of Glenview Public Works Department (PWD) will supply the majority of the required Rubber Safety Ramps. The Contractor shall coordinate and obtain the suitable Safety Ramps from the Public Service Center. Only if the PWD does not have an adequate quantity, or quality of available safety ramps is not suitable for its purpose, than the Contractor shall be responsible for the supply, installation and maintenance of the appropriate number of approved by the Engineer rubber safety ramps. Contractor shall verify size/diameter of the structures prior to ordering safety ramps to insure they fit correctly. The Safety Ramp shall remain in place until final removal of the Ramp is requested by the Engineer. The removed Safety Ramp shall remain the property of the Village of Glenview and shall be delivered to PWD. This work shall consist of the installation and removal of a Storm Sewer (drainage) structure filter assembly, consisting of a frame and filter bag, to collect sediment in surface runoff for all storm sewer structures with open lid or grate. The Contractor shall inspect the jobsite and review the plans to determine the number and dimensions of the various types of drainage structure frames into which the inlet filters will be installed prior to ordering materials.
