The York Region District School Board is seeking proposals for the services of Painting Contractors who are qualified and have the experience to perform wall repairs, sanding, priming and painting services for the York Region District School Board. The objective of this proposal is to establish partnerships with Contractors for Painting Services on an as-required basis for time and materials. These partnerships will allow the Board to ensure that we are purchasing quality service at a competitive price, while improving management reporting and reducing material and administrative costs. The Board spends approximately $200,000 per year for Painting Services. This is an estimate only and should not be construed as a guarantee; rather it is shown to provide an indication of the potential of this Contract. There are approximately 233 locations in the York Region District School Board. Proponents are hereby invited to propose the lowest net prices, including all delivery charges for which the Proponent is prepared to furnish the services requested herein, in accordance with the guidelines expressed in the enclosed document. The successful Vendor(s) will be required to enter into a 2-year Contract that will be effective from January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2027. The Board reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to exercise an option to renew the Contract for a third year, commencing January 1, 2028 and ending December 31, 2028, for a fourth year commencing January 1, 2029 and ending December 31, 2029, and for fifth and final year commencing January 1, 2030 and ending December 31, 2030, provided that prior written notice of at least ninety (90) days is given to the Vendor by the Board.
