Renovation of a recreation facility in Detroit, Michigan. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a recreation facility.
The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is requesting professional design and construction administration services to produce a construction bid package for the restoration of the Barbour Memorial (Leaping Gazelle) Fountain on Belle Isle. Phase 100 Study Services will identify full restoration services including plumbing, electrical, lighting, and architectural restoration of the fountain materials and surrounding sitework, and will include a pre-alteration assessment to identify any hazardous materials for cost estimation. A comprehensive report with restoration/construction cost estimates is required. Phase 500 design services will address restoration of the fountain and immediate electrical and plumbing repairs to achieve fountain operation. The flagstone paving immediately adjacent to the fountain (approximately 8'-0" wide path) shall be restored and leveled as part of the restoration site work, in addition to any sitework disturbed during the project. Bidding services include editing specification sections, preparing technical specifications, attending the pre-bid walk through, bid review, interview, and providing a bid recommendation. Phase 600 and 700 construction administration services are required during construction operations, closeout, and warranty administration.
