Sealed bids are invited for the Mt. Vernon High School Bus Lot Expansion. The project will be constructed under a Single Prime Contract and bids should be based on a "stipulated sum" in full accordance with the prepared Bidding Documents. Bids must be executed on State Form 96 and the Supplementary Proposal Form included in the Project Manual. Each bid must include AIA Document A305 (Contractor's Qualification Statement), a detailed Contractor's Financial Statement, a bid security in the form of AIA Document A310, certified check, or acceptable surety equal to 5% of the bid, made payable to the Owner, and the Contract Responsibility Certification. If a bidder withdraws their bid within 60 days of opening without written Owner consent or fails to execute a satisfactory contract, the bid security may be forfeited as liquidated damages. Successful bidders must furnish Performance and Payment Bonds for 100% of the Contract Sum, effective for 12 months from acceptance of work. Prime Bidders must obtain complete Bidding Documents, which can be downloaded at no cost or purchased in print form. Subcontractors and suppliers may purchase relevant sections. Bids must be submitted before the publicly stated deadline. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any bid or waive informality or error in bidding.
