The Contract Documents define the full project scope. Bids will be received for a lump sum price for the entire project, all trades, all inclusive. Instructions to bidders include: - Bidders must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) in category (C012) WINDOWS. Subcontractors for major branches of work must also be prequalified by the DPMC. - Bidders are required to submit a Certificate of Prequalification/Classification and Affidavit as to the Total Amount of Uncompleted Contracts for the Bidder and listed subcontractors. - All bids must comply with the specified statutory requirements and be accompanied by bid security in the form of a bid bond or certified/cashier's check equal to 10% of the bid amount, but not exceeding $20,000, as well as a Certificate of Consent of Surety. - Bids must be sealed and clearly marked, and submitted by the specified deadline. Any modifications to requirements will result in rejection of the bid as non-responsive. - Additional requirements include submission of a Business Registration Certificate, compliance with the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, submission of a Statement of Ownership, and affidavit regarding debarment status. - The successful bidder will be required to execute a contract and may need to provide additional bonds as specified.
