Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Fieldsboro, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

The project is located on Groveville Road, located between NJSH Route 130 and NJSH Route 206 BASE BID Walking Path Construction, Extension of Multi-purpose Field, Installation of Benches, Picnic Table Relocations and Landscape Materials A. Establish soil erosion measures. Construction entrance and silt erosion control measures are to be installed and maintained throughout the duration of the project. Should tracking of soils occur onto the roadway, a sweeper will be required to clean the impacted areas immediately. Any costs related to sweeping or control of site erosion are to be included in the various items bid for the project. SCOPE 2 B. Perform all site clearing of wooded areas as reflected on the plans. Work includes removal and disposal of all vegetation, including removal of all tree stumps, complete. No materials are to be buried or stored on site. C. Install Park - Closed signage as part of the on or about signage at the existing pathway, picnic grove, concession building and parking lot and other areas of proposed activities, to clearly advise the public of the construction activities. D. The porous bituminous Pedestrian/Bicycle Pathway layout to be confirmed with the Engineer in the field prior to start of work. The larger path loop is planned to be a 1/2-mile loop. Spoils from pedestrian/bicycle pathway construction are to be utilized for the regrading efforts for the extension of the multi-purpose field and as may be necessary for the project path. Excess soils can be stockpiled, properly graded and stabilized on site at the direction of the Engineer. E. Fine grade all disturbed areas, bituminous paths and clearing areas to correct any areas of erosion and rutting prior to hydro-seeding. As part of this work, existing weeds and vegetation are to be removed and properly disposed, including the removal of any large rocks and/or debris. F. Install starter fertilizer and hydro-seeding for all areas of disturbance. Hydroseeding seed mixture is to be Seed Mixture having 80% 3 Turf Type Tall Fescue, 10% Bluegrass, and 10% Trek Tetraploid Perennial Ryegrass applied at a rate of 350 pounds per acre. G. Work includes placement of a minimum of four (4) inches of topsoil where grading/disturbance/restoration is to be performed. H. Corrective work to repair tire rutting or other disturbance to the lawn areas caused during construction outside of the areas of proposed work, will be the responsibility of the contractor to restore to original conditions at no additional costs. I. Removal and disposal of existing bituminous pathway, as shown on the plans. J. Install porous bituminous Pedestrian/Bicycle Pathway, as shown on the plans and details. Price bid for this work should include the full cross-section as detailed on the plans and all restoration and stabilization of pathway edges. No separate payment will be made for restoration of the pathway edges. K. Install parking lot striping to match existing layout utilizing. L. Supply and install park benches throughout the park as reflected on the plans. Benches are to be anchored to concrete pads as detailed on the plans. M. Relocate and re-install existing picnic benches and grills as identified on the plans or as directed in the field by the Township Engineer. Picnic tables and grills are to be installed as detailed on the plans. Concrete pads are required for the relocated picnic tables. Price bid to include all required grading and restoration of picnic table areas. N. Strip topsoil, grade and reestablish topsoil at the extension area of the multipurpose field, areas of bituminous path and areas of clearing as reflected on the grading plan. O. Fine grade multipurpose field play surface (field treatment areas) to provide uniform grade in areas of regrading. Remove any high or low areas as needed for a uniform grade to eliminate any potential ponding areas. As part of this work, any existing weeds and vegetation are to be removed and properly disposed, including the removal of any large rocks and/or debris. P. The contractor is responsible for removal and disposal of all soil erosion control materials and restoration of any silt fence trenching upon stabilization of soils. Q. The project includes the supply and installation screened, certified topsoil as directed by the engineer and the supply and installation of certified clean fill soils as directed by the engineer, if and where required. R. Work includes the removal and disposal of all debris, vegetation, stumps and construction materials, complete. The cost for this work is to be included in the various line items of the bid. S. Contractor is to install advanced warning, on or about, construction signs within the project scope area a minimum of two (2) weeks prior to start of construction. T. All related incidental work, roadway sweeping, dust control, soil erosion and sediment control and cleaning and restoration costs shall be included in the various items of the bid. Upon completion, the contractor shall be responsible for cleaning and restoration of the site in accordance with section 1710 of this specification. Sealed bids are requested for the Northern Community Park Park Expansion Improvements (Pedestrian/Bicycle Pathway Project) in Bordentown Township. Bid forms, contracts, and specifications are available upon request and payment. Bids must be submitted using the forms provided, enclosed in sealed envelopes with the bidders name and work reference. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check, or bid bond for at least ten percent (10%) of the bid amount (but not exceeding $20,000.00), and a certificate letter from a surety company confirming it will provide a completion bond. Other requirements include compliance with affirmative action regulations, the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, submission of a Disclosure Statement listing stockholders, compliance with the Public Works Contractor Registration Act (with registration for all contractors and subcontractors), proof of business registration for the bidder and all named subcontractors, and fulfillment of all information as specified in the bid packet. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
