Buncombe County is seeking a licensed engineer to provide geotechnical engineering services for the stabilization and restoration of eight landslide areas in the Garren Creek Community. The scope of work includes site evaluations, stabilization solutions presented as bid-ready construction documents, and preliminary cost estimates for future work. The selected firm will be responsible for all survey and geotechnical testing necessary for developing the biddable solutions. Construction project certification upon completion is also required. The work will be conducted in two phases: Phase I will focus on evaluations and design, while Phase II will address construction certification. Submissions must include a letter of interest detailing team qualifications, experience with similar projects, and the capacity and estimated timeframe to complete Phase I. An organizational chart and resumes for key personnel, including sub-consultants if needed, must also be provided.
