Site work and new construction of a civil project in Fletcher, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
The work consists of the procurement and installation of a new 10-foot diameter duplex submersible sanitary sewer lift station (expandable to a triplex lift station), a wastewater grinder inside a dedicated 5-foot diameter manhole, approximately 20 linear feet of 24-inch and 2,640 linear feet of 16-inch HDPE DR 11 force main (with about 440 linear feet encased in a 24-inch HDPE DR 11 to be installed by horizontal directional drill across the French Broad River), approximately 550 linear feet of 12-inch and 410 linear feet of 24-inch PVC C900 gravity sewer, and 30 linear feet of 30-inch DIP gravity sewer, including manholes and all related appurtenances. The project also includes construction of approximately 800 linear feet of upper access road and an extension of the lower access road from the existing access road. Orders for plans and specifications delivered by parcel post or other carriers will not be accepted within five days prior to the bid date. Every request for interpretation of Plans, Specifications or any portion of the Contract Documents shall be in writing and must be addressed to the office of the DISTRICT, and to be given consideration must be received by the DISTRICT at least five (5) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of Bids.
