Buncombe County is seeking candidates to provide professional design and engineering services on an as-needed basis for various small repair and renovation projects throughout multiple County facilities for calendar year 2026. Services may be contracted for projects individually budgeted less than $500,000 and may include: architectural, mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, fire protection, interior design, surveying, geotechnical environmental testing, roofing, plumbing, landscape architecture, cost estimating, space planning, and related services. Project examples include roof replacements, window replacements, office and clinical space renovation designs, meeting and conference room designs, facility additions, interior renovations, master and space planning, facility assessments, life safety and security improvements, land surveying, projects requiring civil or structural engineering, mechanical and electrical upgrades, retaining wall assessments, cost estimates, and stormwater management systems. Separate submission for each discipline is required, including a cover sheet specifying the discipline. Submissions must include a letter of interest with firm qualifications, team member resumes, completed and current relevant projects, organizational chart, details of sub-consultants, current workload, and office locations to handle the work. One digital copy of the statement of qualifications in pdf format must be submitted either by email or in person. Minority business participation is encouraged.
