As of December 26, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on sometime after January 20, 2026. All proposals or bids offered must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of 10% of the total bid in the form of a certified check, bid bond or cashier's check made payable to the Village of Arlington Heights. Tank Information: The structure is a 6,000,000-gallon water storage reservoir with a diameter of 160 ft. and a sidewall height of 39 ft. located at 3706 N. Kennicott Avenue in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Exterior: Abrasive blast clean to a SSPC-SP6 commercial standard within containment. Apply a four (4) coat zinc epoxy urethane system. Caulk the baseplate. Wet Interior: Abrasive blast clean to a SSPC-SP10 near-white metal standard. Apply a three (3) coat zinc epoxy system. The cathodic protection system is to be removed and reinstalled by the Owner's vendor (or approved equal), coordination and payment is the Contractor's responsibility. Foundation: Repair cracks. Abrasive blast clean and apply a two (2) coat epoxy system. Mixer: Install a mechanical mixer. Repairs: 1) Replace the roof and roof support structure. 2) Install roof sensor penetration. 3) Install roof handrail sections. 4) Install roof vents. 5) Center column modification. 6) Install brackets for electrical cabinet and conduit. 7) Install deflector bars on the draw pipe. 8) Overflow discharge modification. 9) Install a drain valve. 10)Replace the sidewall manway gaskets. 11)Replace the sidewall manway nuts and bolts. 12)Reweld the removed section on the sidewall. 13) Install grounding.
