Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Daytona Beach, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The City of Daytona Beach is hereby soliciting responses from interested parties to provide skilled contractors to remove and replace sidewalk in the Mosaic Subdivision. The new sidewalk shall be installed at the correct elevation and slope, and the brick pavers in the driveway shall be removed and replaced to match the new elevation of the sidewalk. The sod shall be removed and replaced at the correct elevation for proper drainage to the curb. Bid responses must be submitted online through the designated Platform; paper bids will not be accepted. To view specifications, schedule, ask questions, receive addenda and notices, or submit an offer, bidders must register and participate in the solicitation using the provided website and follow instructions to login or register as a company. Participating does not obligate the bidder. It is the bidder's responsibility to stay updated on announcements related to the solicitation. Questions should be submitted using the Platform's Question & Answer tab before the deadline indicated. All revisions and answers to questions must be reviewed before submitting an offer, as answers are considered authoritative and are addenda to the solicitation. Bids may be held for up to 60 days after opening while the City reviews and investigates contractor qualifications. Question and Request for Interpretation Submission Deadline:December 30, 2025, 12:00am The deadline for questions is detailed in the Timeline section of the Introduction. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The City of Daytona Beach is advertising for Contractors to provide corrections in the Mosaic Subdivision for Phase 1A,1B and 1B1. The work consists of removing the existing sidewalk that is not in compliance with the specifications and replacing new sidewalk at the correct slope and elevation. The work will include removing the existing brick pavers in the driveways and replacing them to match the correct elevation of the new sidewalk. The pavers on the street side approach are installed with a concrete pad that may be poured monolithically with the sidewalk and will require removal of the entire pad or separated by deep sawcutting. The work will also include removing and replacing the sod at the correct elevation to provide positive drainage. A map of the phases is provided to indicate the sections of sidewalk that shall be removed and replaced. The Contractor shall contact the City and the homeowners before work begins and establish a schedule for removal and replacement of driveways. The Contractor shall contact and cooperate with owners of any underground utilities, this includes, but is not limited to calling locates with the City of Daytona Beach Utilities, Sunshine 811, USIC, etc. Irrigation systems may also be encountered within the proposed work areas. It isthe Contractor'sresponsibility to protect and repair any damage to irrigation systems, including sprinkler heads and irrigation pipes. The Contractor shall protect all adjacent properties from pollutants, flooding, sediment, and other damage caused by construction activities. All areas that are not part of the work shall be protected and kept in pre-construction conditions or better and free of all construction-related damage. After completion of the work, the Contractor shall at their expense replace or restore to its original or better condition all damaged or destroyed areas of property. It is the Contractor's responsibility to maintain a neat, clean, and safe work area. No litter, excessive dirt or sand, tools, or equipment can be left behind. If an area needs to remain open and exposed over nights or weekends, the Contractor will be responsible for providing proper signs and barricades to detour pedestrian traffic.
