AND OCEAN AVE. ISLAND HEIGHTS BOROUGH, SILVER BAY ROAD TOMS RIVER TOWNSHIP, VAUGHN AVENUE TOMS RIVER TOWNSHIP Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and P.L. 1975 C. 127 (N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq.) and P.L. 1997, c.408 (N.J.S.A. 40A:11-16). The work to be performed under this Contract consists of drainage improvements within Barnegat Township, Island Heights Borough, and Toms River Township. Included in this Contract is the installation of approximately 1000 L.F. of drainage pipe consisting of Ductile Iron Pipe (DIP), Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP), and High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pipe in varying sizesfrom 12" to 24"; construction of 15 Inlets, 10 Manholes; and reconstruction of 11 existing drainage structures. Also included in this Contract is the installation of approximately 755 L.F. of concrete curb; construction of 4 ADA curb ramps; reconstruction of concrete sidewalks and asphalt driveway aprons; and HMA milling and resurfacing of approximately 3,800 S.Y. of existing pavement, as well as the installation of traffic stripes and markings. 104.03.03 Types of Changes. 3. Changes in the Character of Work. The following is added to this Subsection of the Standard Specifications: The provisions set forth in N.J.S.A. 40A:11-16.7 shall be deemed a part of this Contract. 104.03.09 Delay Damages. Each bid must be accompanied by a Non-Collusion Certificate and by a guarantee in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total sum bid, provided such guarantee shall be for no more than twenty thousand ($20,000.00) dollars. The guarantee may be in one of the following forms: cashier's check, certified check or Proposal Bond,. The guarantee shall be payable to County of Ocean. In the event that a cashier's check or certified check is used, evidence of ability to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in accordance with Subsection 151.03.01 must also accompany each bid; the usual form of Proposal Bond letter from a recognized Bonding Company will be acceptable. The County reserves the right to reject all bids in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2. The County reserves the right to waive any minor informalities in the bids, and unless otherwise specified by the bidder, to accept any item in the bid, should it be deemed in accordance with applicable law.
