Remodeling of a retail development in Glens Falls, New York. Conceptual plans call for the remodel of a 9,000-square-foot, one-story above grade retail development.
**As of February 11, 2026, the project is canceled no bids receive. Project is no longer needed.** The project consists of approximately 9,000 square feet of tenant fit-out for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection construction work located on the basement and first floor inside the building at 36 Elm Street, Glens Falls, New York. Bidders are required to comply with New York State's participation goals for subcontracting to certified minority-owned businesses, women-owned businesses, and service-disabled veteran-owned businesses, with goals set at 15% minority, 15% women, and 6% service-disabled veteran. The top three qualified bidders will be asked to provide a utilization plan within 48 hours of bid receipt. A bid deposit, performance and payment bonds are required. Bid security must be 5% of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for 45 days after bid opening. Bids must include the completed bid form, a non-collusive bidding certification, and a bid bond. The City of Glens Falls reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities or irregularities. All bids are to be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly labeled for the Glens Falls 36 Market Inc. Fit-out ME&P package. This project is subject to New York State prevailing wage rates. 1.
