Sealed bids are requested for the 2026 Sealcoating at multiple locations. Lump Sum bid proposals will be received and publicly opened at the specified time and place. Each bid must include a Bid Guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, or Bank Draft in an amount not less than ten percent of the bid, payable to West Aurora School District #129. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty days after opening without the Owner's consent. Successful bidder must provide a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond for the full contract amount. Bids are to be submitted in an opaque sealed envelope clearly marked as SEALED BID. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or parts thereof, or waive any irregularities or informalities in bidding. The contract is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. Each bidder must satisfactorily complete the qualification process described in Section 004395-General Requirements, submitting required Qualification Documents with the bid. These documents will be reviewed to determine the lowest responsible bidder. Bidding documents may be obtained electronically and reproduced at the bidder's expense. A mandatory pre-bid meeting walk-through for prime contractors will be held; subcontractors are encouraged but not required to attend. All contractors must visit the site as non-attendance may be grounds for rejection of a bid. There shall be only one scheduled walk-through of the site. Attendance shall be taken at the site to ensure that all contractors have visited the site. Non-attendance can be grounds for rejection of bid.
