Sealed bids for the 2026 Masonry Tuckpointing at Freeman Elementary and Jewel Middle Schools will be received by West Aurora School District #129 at the District Office until the specified time. Lump sum bid proposals are required. Each bid must include a Bid Guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, or Bank Draft equal to at least ten percent of the bid and made payable to West Aurora School District #129. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty days after the bid opening without the consent of the Owner. Unsuccessful bidders' checks or drafts will be returned as soon as practical. The successful bidder must provide a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond in the full amount of the contract. Bids must be submitted in an opaque sealed envelope clearly marked as SEALED BID and addressed appropriately. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids, parts thereof, or waive irregularities or informalities. This contract is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. Each bidder must complete the qualification process, supplying required Qualification Documents as described in the General Requirements of the Project Manual. The Qualification Documents must be delivered with the bid. These documents will be reviewed to determine the lowest responsible bidder. Bidding documents may be obtained electronically and reproduced at the bidder's expense from Cross Rhodes Reprographics. There will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting and site walk-through for general contractors. Subcontractors are encouraged but not required to attend.
