Site work for a military facility in Raleigh, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for site work for a one-story above grade military facility.

This project involves the removal of existing chain link fence and replacement with new fencing that matches or blends with the existing ornament fence. The scope includes adding a vehicle gate, two personnel turnstile gates, and straightening the existing fence line on the north side of the facility. All fencing and gates must meet Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) 4-022-03 standards. The fence will include a concrete mow strip maintaining a 2-inch to 6-inch height from the ground up to the bottom of the fence. Personnel gates must meet the Architectural Barrier Act (ABA) Accessibility Standard for Department of Defense Facilities and use badge readers integrated with the current facility system. Sidewalks with pedestrian crossings will be provided at personnel gates. The vehicle gate must have pads for a temporary guard house (14 FT X 7 FT) and portable toilet, vehicle tire stops, a pedestal with power and communications, and a camera integrated with the existing surveillance system. Existing chain link fence around a storage lot and a dumpster will be replaced with black vinyl coated chain link fence (6 FT for storage, 10 FT for dumpsters). All trees within 20 FT of the new fence will be cleared, and all disturbed areas will be graded and seeded with Bermuda grass. Firms must be properly licensed to practice Architecture, Engineering, or Landscape Architecture in North Carolina. Submissions require three copies of a Letter of Interest and three copies of the current Standard Form 254. Packages should not include notebooks, binders, tabs, or clips, and must be 8-1/2" x 11" pages stapled in the upper left corner. The Letter of Interest should not exceed ten single-sided or five double-sided pages, plus the SF 254. E-mail and fax submittals are not accepted.
