The scope of work includes providing aggregates and concrete, curb and gutter repair (including flat concrete work), adjusting manhole castings to grade and rebuilding manholes, as well as providing equipment and labor rates for use by City departments on small projects or emergencies. Bids must conform to specifications and terms of bidding, with all documents available in the Clerk-Treasurer's office. Bidders are required to show proof of insurance, provide a $2,000.00 bid bond with their submission, and, if successful in bids for curb, gutter, concrete work, and equipment and labor rates, furnish a $5,000.00 performance bond upon signing the contract. All bids must be submitted on State Board of Accounts forms and be accompanied by a non-collusion affidavit. Successful bidders on curb, gutter, concrete work and equipment and labor rates shall furnish to the City of Shelbyville a $5,000.00 performance bond when contract is signed.
