The work consists of Asphalt Road resurfacing with ADA Ramp Improvements on four roads in Shelbyville, Indiana. The work includes approximately 2,500 linear feet of asphalt road resurfacing, seven ADA ramp reconstructions, and curb replacement. Bids must be submitted on forms prescribed by the State Board of Accounts, including a financial statement, a statement of experience, a proposed work plan, available equipment, and a non-collusion affidavit. A bid bond or certified check for 5% of the total bid is required. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked for the project. Each bidder is responsible for inspecting the project site and thoroughly reviewing the contract bid documents and specifications. A Performance & Payment Bond for 100% of the contract price will be required from the awarded contractor. All bonds and liability insurance must remain in effect for 12 months following project completion and acceptance. The Board of Public Works & Safety reserves the right to reject any or all bids, accept any bids, combine proposals, and waive informalities or minor defects in bidding. Bids shall be awarded to the lowest, most responsive, and responsible bidder.
