The mulching head for the Kubota Excavator shall be a factory new, current year model constructed of materials of high quality, which will give long life and reliable operation. The contractor shall understand and agree that the mulching head shall be installed exclusively by City staff. Any modifications to the mulching head that City staff may need to make to ensure it properly fits the Kubota Excavator and allows the excavator to operate successfully shall be minimized or, ideally, not required at all. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS: At a minimum, the mulching head shall meet the following requirements: _ Shall not exceed compatibility with a ten thousand (10,000) to twenty thousand (20,000) pound Kubota excavator; _ Shall have a cutting width of fifty one inches (51"); _ Shall have an overall width of sixty six point twenty five inches (66.25"); _ Shall have a diameter rotor of thirteen point five inches (13.5"); _ Shall have a maximum weight without mount of one thousand two hundred and eighteen (1218) pounds; _ Shall have thirty two (32) carbide teeth; _ Shall have a hydraulic hoursepower of fifteen (15) to thirty five point nine (35.9) GPM and up to four thousand and one hundred (4100) PSI; _ Shall have depth gauges on cutting head; _ Shall have two stage cutting chamber; _ Shall have a rotor speed of seventeen hundred (1700) to two thousand and three hundred (2300) RPM; _ Shal have a spade hook; _ Shall have steel deflector chains; and _ Shall have a mounting plate that shall be successfully installed on a Kubota KX080-5R3A Excavator. PERIOD OF SERVICE: Contract Period: The original contract period shall be as stated in the contract. The contract shall not bind, nor purport to bind, the city for any contractual commitment in excess of the original contract period.
