**As of January 15th, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on March 9th, 2026** The Columbia Public School District is requesting proposals from local contractors for Overhead Door services. Electronic bid submission is required. Award of this bid is planned for February 9, 2026. Question Deadline 01/07/2026 at 12:00 PM CT For inquiries or questions about the bid or specifications, please contact the following: Ms. Lisa Ozanich, Assistant Purchasing Agent Email: lozani The scope of work for Overhead Door Services shall include, but is not limited to, the following: Provide equipment, material and labor to perform overhead door maintenance, repair, inspection, service, and replacement as may be identified by the District's Director of Facilities and Construction Services. 1. This is a blanket bid for services for maintenance, repair, inspection, service and replacement of medium/large commercial overhead doors as needed with no guarantee of annual work. 2. The successful bidder must have at least five (5) years' experience in the field and include three (3) references with contact information that may be contacted by Town. 3. The contractor must have adequate knowledge of large commercial overhead door systems. The contractor must have their own vehicles, lifts, and tools needed for the jobs. 4. As these needs are identified, the successful bidder will be asked to provide a proposal for each specific project by location. At this time no specific projects are approved or have funding. Maintenance estimated to cost more than $50,000 will require a separate formal bid and cannot be awarded under this agreement. 5. Work will be awarded on a case by case basis, based on the lowest hourly "crew rate", travel charges, and material mark-up submitted. It is assumed that the typical crew will consist of one service person. If this is not the case, the hourly wage rate quoted on this proposal shall include all costs for all members of the crew. 6. Pricing for general calls and services is based on hourly cost for the Lead Worker and Assistant with both and/or just Lead Worker expected for calls. Additional labor will be added as applicable for any work requiring more than Lead Worker and Assistant and will be billed accordingly. 7. Travel charges (if any) must be called out on the bid form. This charge shall include all travel related costs beyond those covered by applying the hourly rate to work completed on the job site. 8. In addition, availability of workers will be a factor. If Contractors with lower crew rates are not able to provide workers at a given time, Contractors that have higher crew rates may be called if they are able to supply workers and the urgency of the situation warrants it. 9. Contractors must agree to have qualified servicemen on call 24 hours per day, 365 days per year, to respond to the District's request for emergency repair service within a reasonable short period of time. A four-hour waiting period would be considered as maximum.
