Renovation of a power facility in Hastings, Nebraska. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade power facility.
Contractor is to provide craft labor and supervision necessary to overhaul Whelan Energy Center Unit 2 steam turbine and valves in accordance with the project specifications. Proposals will only be considered from bidders qualified by previous experience in work of similar type, scope, and complexity as specified. Bidders without prior successful work history with the agency must pre-qualify by submitting information about their organization, experience, and financial status as requested in the bidding instructions. Each proposal must include a cashier's check, certified check from a solvent U.S. commercial bank, or a bid bond for not less than five percent of the total bid in a separate envelope. The successful bidder must furnish a Maintenance Bond for the full contract amount within ten days of award. The agency reserves the right to accept the bid best suited to its needs, reject any or all bids, and waive informalities. No proposal may be altered, withdrawn, or resubmitted within 60 days after the proposal opening.
