Project consists of realigning a curve section along Gulledge Road and lowering the inside shoulder to better improve safety and functionality of the intersection with Creekview Way. Creekview Way will be adjusted to properly tie into the corrected Gulledge Curve. Bid Date Notes: If bid is forwarded by mail, the sealed envelope containing the Bid must be enclosed in a separate mailing envelope to the attention of the OWNER at the address previously given. Bidders shall inform themselves concerning Georgia Laws and comply with same. All questions about the bid process, plans or specifications must be submitted in writing to purchase@paulding.gov. The Completion date for this project is twelve (12) months from notice to proceed. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES - $213.00 per day Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond with good and sufficient surety or sureties approved by the owner for faithful acceptance of the contract, payable to, in favor of, and for the protection of the OWNER in an amount equivalent to five percent (5%) of the total amount payable by the terms of the contract or, in lieu thereof, in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or cash in equal amount. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds, for 100% of the contract amount, with the executed Agreement meeting the requirements of the Contract Documents and executed on the forms attached to the Agreement. The terms and time for payment are set forth in the Agreement. Requests for payments are due by the FIFTH (5th) of the month for payment by the TWENTIETH (20th) of the month less 5% retainage. Retainage (5%) is to be held until final acceptance of the project by the Paulding County Department of Transportation All Bids will remain subject to acceptance for 60 days after the day of the Bid opening, but OWNER may, in its sole discretion, release any Bid and return the Bid security prior to that date. All work performed for this project will be IAW Georgia Department of Transportation Standard Specification for Construction of Roads and Bridges, Current Edition, and attached modifications and special provisions. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive formalities and re-advertise.
