The scope of Work contemplated for the abovenamed Project includes the reconstruction and upgrading of Township Road First Street, including concrete walkway reconstruction, roadway milling and paving, storm sewer system modification and reconstruction, sanitary sewer manhole lining, curb installation, traffic striping, and general surface restoration, within the Township of Barnegat, Ocean County, New Jersey. Additionally, there are two alternate bids to construct roadway striping on Ravenwood Boulevard & Georgetown Boulevard within the Township of Barnegat, Ocean County, New Jersey as well as all other work of any type or description necessary for completion of the Project, whether or not specifically described in these Contract Documents. All Work on this Contract shall be completed within (60) Calendar Days from Notice to Proceed. The Township of Barnegat Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bid Packets to the Extent Permitted by Law. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project. This Section describes the requirements for: providing pollution control measures to maintain water quality; constructing and maintaining permanent SESC measures; and constructing, maintaining, and removing temporary SESC measures. This Section describes the requirements for implementing controls to protect vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Traffic control includes providing, installing, placing, relocating, maintaining, and removing traffic control devices. This Section describes the requirements for constructing, reconstructing, and cleaning inlets and manholes. This Section also describes the requirements for constructing and cleaning concrete culverts and concrete headwalls with a span of less than 5 feet. SEE APPENDIX 'B' "RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM, TOWNSHIP OF BARNEGAT, OCEAN COUNTY" This Section describes the requirements for implementing controls to protect vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Traffic control includes providing, installing, placing, relocating, maintaining, and removing traffic control devices. The contract contains an allowance for misc. work. This allowance shall include any additional construction necessary due to existing unforeseen obstructions, conflicts or any other unanticipated obstacles to the planned improvements and may be used for more than one item of work. This allowance will only be used at the sole discretion of the Owner or Engineer after the additional work has been defined by the Owner and after a value has been negotiated for this additional work by the Owner and the Contractor. The Contractor shall provide a proposal for performing the misc. work, inclusive of all materials, labor, overhead and profit. Should the owner accept the proposal the work will be paid from the bid item for Misc. Work, up to the dollar amount contained within the proposal. All work above this amount will require the Owner's Approval. If no additional work is required by the Owner, no payment will be made under this item.
