A site visit is required and bids will not be accepted from bidders who have not inspected the site to obtain first-hand knowledge of existing conditions. Each bidder must inspect the site and become familiar with existing conditions and limitations, including means of access and relationship of existing and new work. No allowance will be made after bid opening for errors in cost estimation due to failure to account for these conditions. The successful bidder will not be approved for extra payments for site conditions that could have been seen during inspection. Bidders must report to the Owner's Representative, provide their contact information, and sign in as verification of the site visit. The Owner is not obligated to accommodate alternate site visit times. All dimensions shown in the Contract Documents are for reference only; the Contractor must verify all dimensions in the field and report discrepancies immediately. Claims for extra payment, time, or reconsideration based on reliance on document dimensions will be denied. If discrepancies or doubts arise, bidders should notify the Owner, who may issue clarifications. The Owner is not responsible for oral instructions or misinterpretations.
