Specifications and proposal forms are available for providing all labor, materials, and construction services for the following projects: Rooftop Electrical Distribution, Parking Lot Pave, and Curbcuts. Bids must be submitted on standard proposal forms in the prescribed manner and enclosed in a sealed envelope, with the bidder's name and address on the outside, addressed to Community Forge and marked with the project name. Compliance is required with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of 1961, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Department of Labor Equal Opportunity Clause, Executive Order 11625 (Utilization of Minority Business Enterprise), Executive Order 12138 (Utilization of Female Business Enterprise), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, the Allegheny County MBE/WBE Program (with goals of 13% Minority and 2% Female Business Enterprise), and Allegheny County Ordinance #6867-12 (with a goal of 5% Veteran-Owned Small Businesses). Parking Lot This one is pretty well delineated in the zoning plans. The main thing is that the East Lot needs to be completely resurfaced (half of it is gravel at the moment) and the curb cut needs to be twice as wide as existing conditions. The West Lot is in good condition and was recently resurfaced but there are new curb cuts and landscaping elements in the zoning plan. Electrical Distribution to the 3rd floor The drawings are for a much more comprehensive electrical systems upgrade that mainly implicates the creation of a theater on the ground floor. The part of this project to be bid, is to run power from the main breaker on the ground floor, up through a chimney/ventilation shaft to the roof, activate the existing rooftop condenser units, and then feed power back to the third floor variable refrigerant system head units in the classrooms. Details are on the drawings but again, there’s much more there than just the 3rd floor run and the rest is out of scope.
