Sealed proposals are requested for Grease Interceptor Cleaning Services. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check, bank cashier's check, treasurer's check, or Bid Bond, with corporate surety satisfactory to the Owner, in an amount not less than 10% of the Base Bid (but not exceeding $20,000.00), naming the Atlantic City Board of Education as payee or obligee. Bidders must send their proposals via US Postal Service or another recognized delivery service with certification of delivery; bids will not be accepted by facsimile or email. The project is governed by provisions of New Jersey State Law, including prequalification of bidders, prevailing wage rates, use of domestic materials, and Public Works Contractor Registration. All business organizations must be registered with the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue, and provide proof of registration. Each bid must be accompanied by a certificate from a surety company indicating it will provide a bond as required. No proposals may be withdrawn within 60 days after the bid opening. The Board reserves the right to waive minor irregularities and to reject bids. The scope of work entails onsite cleaning of kitchen grease interceptors for eight (8) school locations in the Atlantic City Public School District as follows: Atlantic City High School 1400 Albany Avenue Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Complex 1700 Marmora Avenue Uptown School Complex 323 Madison Avenue New York Avenue School 411 N.
