Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Ashley, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field.
The project includes the removal of the existing tennis court area and existing play equipment, installation of new play equipment, preparation of play area for the installation of poured in place playground surfacing (surfacing to be installed by others), curbing, landscaping, mulch, and preparation for resurfacing, paving and striping of the walking path and associated amenities. Play equipment, benches, picnic tables, and poured in place surfacing will be purchased by the Borough. Bids will be received for a single prime contract and shall be on a lump sum basis as indicated in the Bid Form. Bid security must be furnished in accordance with the instructions to bidders. The following wage rate requirements are applicable: Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage. Bidders must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, religion, color, handicap, national origin, age, or sex. Bids will remain subject to acceptance for the period of 90 days, but the Owner may, at its sole discretion, release any bid and return the bid security prior to the end of this period. Ashley Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bids, including, without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional bids.
