Demolition and renovation of a municipal facility in New Cumberland, West Virginia. Completed plans call for the demolition of a one-story above grade municipal facility.
The purpose is to solicit proposals from qualified offerors for the demolition, asbestos abatement, and clean-up of the structure located at 697 Ohio River Blvd, New Cumberland, WV, 26047. Proposals must be submitted by January 8, 2026, at 1:30 PM. Late proposals will be rejected. POST-MEETING QUESTIONS DUE: December 30,2025, at 12:00 PM: Submitted in writing with attention to John Klee, County Administrator or emailed to jklee@hancockwv.org Demolition of the Entire Structure: Demolition of the entire structure from the property footprint, taking care to not allow any debris to enter Kings Creek. o Disposal of Materials: Properly dispose of all materials in an acceptable landfill, paying all related fees. o Asbestos Abatement: Per the asbestos survey results, attached, o Remove, handle, and dispose of asbestos-containing materials per EPA, OSHA, and WVDEP regulations in an acceptable landfill. Provide all necessary notifications, air monitoring, and clearance documentation Backfilling of Foundation/Basement: Provide sufficient filling material to refill void left from any excavation required. o Land remediation: Restore all land to natural state. Level and tamp land to roadway height. Replant property.
