Site work for a civil project in Artesia, Mississippi. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project; and one-story above grade water / sewer project.
The scope of work consists of the rehabilitation of the sewer system on the south side of the Town of Artesia, Mississippi, and rehabilitation of pump station No. 3. The Contractor is responsible for performing all work and providing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials required by the specifications and drawings. Instructions to bidders include submission of sealed, duplicate proposals with a Statement of Qualifications listing past projects, references, key personnel, and supporting information. Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi Law and provide a Certificate of Responsibility. Non-resident bidders must attach a copy of their state’s relevant laws for similar contracts. A Bid Bond or Certified Check for five percent of the bid is required. The successful bidder must furnish Payment and Performance Bonds, each for 100 percent of the contract amount. Additional documents may be requested, including a current financial statement. Bid documents are available electronically and must be purchased through the designated website. CDBG and Section 3 requirements apply, and opportunities for contracting, subcontracting, training, and employment must be extended to Section 3 businesses and residents. Minority and women's business enterprises are encouraged to participate. The town reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities or irregularities. MINORITY BUSINESS AND WOMEN’S BUSINESS UTILIZATION REQUIREMENTS While there are no associated goals, bidders are encouraged to make positive efforts to utilize minority-owned and women-owned businesses as sources of construction, materials, supplies, and services. Such efforts should allow these sources the maximum feasible opportunity to compete for subagreements and contracts. Documentation of outreach efforts may be required to be submitted. Question Deadline 01/22/2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed in writing to Engineer. Interpretations or clarifications will be issued by Addenda mailed to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Only answers to questions by formal written addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
