Separate sealed bids are requested for the purchase of polymer for a potable water treatment plant of 18 MGD capacity. Polymer must be ANSI/NSF Standard 60 approved, with vendors providing a certificate of approval with their bid. The bid is to be on a bulk basis and the polymer must meet the following specifications: liquid polymer in totes, 20% active, capable of sludge blanket control over all expected temperature ranges, meeting all AWWA standards for potable water, and must blend with the district’s house water to form a 0.5 to 3% solution. Bidders must have completed a successful pilot plant study using at least 500 lbs. of their product in the district’s process before bid acceptance. Delivery is to be made within 10 calendar days of order notification, conforming to all applicable regulations, and each shipment must contain no less than 98 percent of the stated weight. Orders will be based on available storage at the plant, with delivery recognized Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM. All prices must be for bulk quantities and remain constant for six calendar months following bid acceptance. No modifications to the price, including surcharges, will be recognized during this term. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope, plainly marked on the outside as a bid for polymer, to the specified address.
