Separate sealed bids are sought for the purchase of ammonia for a potable water treatment plant with an 18 MGD capacity. Bid prices will be F.O.B. to the Northeast Mississippi Regional Water Treatment Plant. The ammonia must be ANSI/NSF Standard 60 approved, with vendors required to provide certificates of approval with their bids. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes marked on the outside as “Bid for Ammonia.” The bid shall be on a bulk basis and the material must meet the following specifications: refrigerant grade anhydrous ammonia or better, meeting all AWWA standards for potable water application; minimum ammonia content 99.98% (typical 99.99%), oil 3 ppm maximum (typical 1 ppm), water 150 ppm maximum (typical 50 ppm). Ammonia is to be delivered to the plant site in Peppertown, Mississippi, Monday – Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, with order sizes based on available storage at the plant. All prices shall be for bulk quantities and must remain constant for six calendar months following bid acceptance. No modifications to the price of the chemicals will be recognized during the term, including surcharges. The District reserves the right to accept alternate bids in the event the primary supplier cannot provide the product as specified, and to reject any and all bids. Invoices received after the third Wednesday of the month will be paid the following month.
