Separate sealed bids are requested for the purchase of sodium silicofluoride for a potable water treatment plant with a capacity of 18 MGD. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to the appropriate authority and marked clearly as indicated. Bid prices must be F.O.B. to the specified water treatment plant. The authority reserves the right to accept alternate bids if the primary supplier cannot provide the product as specified. Sodium silicofluoride must be ANSI/NSF Standard 60 approved, and vendors are required to provide a certificate of approval with their bid. The material must be supplied in 50-pound bags and meet AWWA Standard B702-80. Only 50-pound bags will be accepted, and packaging and shipping must comply with all regulations. Shipments must contain no less than 98 percent of the stated weight; damaged or wet product will be rejected. Delivery is to the plant site during specified weekday hours. Orders will be based on available storage at the plant. All prices are to be for bulk quantities and must remain constant for six calendar months after acceptance of the bid. The authority will not recognize any price modifications during the contract term, including fuel surcharges or other charges. Payments for invoices received after the specified date will be made the following month. The authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
