Sealed bids or electronic bids will be received for the construction of 2.003 miles of overlay on Fulton-Ryans Crossroad (John Rankin Highway) known as Project No. SAP-29(14)M in Itawamba County, Mississippi. The contract time is 30 working days. The award will be made to the lowest qualified bidder on the basis of published quantities. Minority business enterprises are ensured full opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin. The project shall be constructed in accordance with the 2004 edition of the Mississippi Standard Specifications for State Aid Road and Bridge Construction. Bids will be accepted only under the name of the bidder to whom contract documents have been issued and whose name appears on the official list of planholders. Certified check or bid bond for five percent (5%) of the total bid, made payable to Itawamba County and the State of Mississippi, must accompany each proposal. The entire proposal is required to be turned in for both paper and electronic bid submission. Any proposal accompanied by letters qualifying in any manner the conditions under which the proposal is tendered will be considered irregular and will not be considered for award.
