Separate sealed bids are requested for the purchase of potassium permanganate for a potable water treatment plant with an 18 MGD capacity. Potassium permanganate must be ANSI/NSF Standard 60 approved, and vendors must provide a certificate of such approval with their bid. The material must be a free flowing grade capable of taking up to 0.7% moisture before caking and must meet AWWA b603-93 standards. The KMnO4 content must be at least 97 percent by weight. Only 25kg or 50 to 55 pound pails of product will be accepted, and packaging must conform to all applicable regulations. Shipments must contain no less than 98 percent of the stated weight. Delivery must be within 10 working days of order notification, with deliveries to the plant site in Peppertown, Mississippi, recognized Monday–Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM. Order size will be based on plant storage availability. All prices are to be for bulk quantities and must remain constant for six calendar months following bid acceptance, with no price modifications recognized during the term. The District reserves the right to accept alternate bids if the primary supplier is unable to provide the specified product and to reject any or all bids.
