The proposed project includes all service tubing, bored service tubing encasement, service saddles, corp stops, and all appurtenances to facilitate approximately 28 meter reconnections. Additionally, the project includes various wet taps, machine taps, gate valves, and appurtenances required to maintain water service during the abandonment of existing water lines. The sizes of these items range from 2" to 8" as detailed within the plans and contract documents. Bids will be accepted only under the name of the bidder to whom contract documents have been issued and whose name appears on the official list of planholders. Minority and women’s business enterprises are solicited and encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities, equipment, material, and/or supply needs. Each bidder must deposit with this bid security in the amount, form, and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. Simultaneously with the delivery of the executed contract, the contractor shall furnish surety bonds subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. All applicable laws, ordinances, and the rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over construction of the project shall apply to the contract. Each bidder is responsible for inspecting the site and being thoroughly familiar with the contract documents. A conditional or qualified bid will not be accepted. Award will be made to the lowest or best responsible, responsive bidder. The owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids.
