Separate and sealed bids or electronic bids for the construction of JOHN RANKIN HIGHWAY OVERLAY will be received for the following approximate quantities and bid items: Mobilization (1 LS), Maintenance of Traffic (1 LS), Granular Material (Cl. 5, Gp. 'C') (160 CuYds), Hot Mix Asphalt, ST, 12.5mm Leveling (15 tons), Hot Mix Asphalt, ST, 12.5mm Overlay (575 tons), Cold Milling of Bituminous Pavement, All Depths (250 SqYds), 4" Wide Thermoplastic Edge Stripe (Continuous White) (1.02 Miles), 4" Wide Thermoplastic Traffic Stripe (Continuous Yellow) (5,440 LinFt), Two-Way Yellow Reflective High Performance Raised Markers (95 Ea), and Reflectorized Traffic Warning Signs (5 Ea). Bids will be accepted only under the name of the bidder to whom contract documents have been issued by Plan House Printing on behalf of the engineer and whose name appears on the official list of planholders maintained by Plan House Printing. Each bidder must deposit with this bid, security in the amount, form, and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. For electronic bids, the bond must be in electronic format or the original hard copy must be submitted prior to bid opening. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 60 days after the date of opening. The contractor shall furnish surety bonds upon delivery of the executed contract. All applicable laws, ordinances, and regulations of authorities having jurisdiction will apply. Each bidder is responsible for inspecting the site and being thoroughly familiar with the contract documents. Conditional or qualified bids will not be accepted. Award will be made to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder. The owner reserves the right to waive any informality or reject any or all bids.
