Itawamba Community College requests proposals from qualified firms or individuals to provide Architectural services for work related to an application for an infrastructure project with potential funding from Appalachian Regional Commission and/or other federal funding agencies. This request includes the preparation of a preliminary cost estimate for use in the application and project Architectural services if the project is awarded. The Architect will be responsible for all Architectural services through project closeout, in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies. The scope of work includes but is not limited to: preparing preliminary cost estimates and preliminary Architectural reports; preparing plans and specifications if awarded; distributing bid documents; assisting in bid opening and preparation of bid tabulation; assisting in execution of construction contracts; holding pre-construction conferences; performing construction inspection with periodic reports to the owner; and approving all payment requests. All proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked “Proposal for Architectural Services.” Proposals will be evaluated based on Qualifications (40 points), Experience (40 points), and Capacity for Performance (20 points). Proposals must address in detail the qualifications of assigned personnel, firm experience with previous projects and grants, and identification of staff for the project. Contracts will be awarded to the most qualified individual or firm as determined by the selection committee on a fixed price basis.
