As of February 04, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on February 27, 2026. The work includes, but is not limited to, selective demolition, interior partitions, doors and windows, interior finishes, plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems as required. Bids must be on the basis ofcash payment for the work andmaterials, and no bid will beconsidered unless sealed andfiled with the City and accompanied by a cash deposit, certifiedcheck, or bidder's bond, payable to the City of Albert Lea, fornot less than 5% of the bid, asa guarantee that the bidder will,within ten (10) days after notification of the award of contract,enter into an agreement withthe City and furnish a bond for the full amount of the contractas provided for by law. This deposit will be subject to forfeitureas provided by law. Cash deposits, certified checks,and bidder's bonds of the three(3) lowest bidders may be retained until the contract has been awarded and executed,but no longer than 60 days fromthe date of opening bids. Allother deposits will be refunded promptly. The City reserves the right toreject any and all bids, to waive any informalities therein; and toadjourn the meeting to a laterdate for the purpose of furtherconsideration of the bids andtaking action thereon. No bidmay be withdrawn within 60 days from the date of opening of bids. The City of Albert Lea does not discriminate on the basis of disability.
