Tennis Court Resurfacing-Titan Trax Shield The work consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, and labor necessary for the replacement of the existing Titan Trax Shield surface on the north five (5) courts of the ten (10) court tennis complex, approximately 32,500 square feet, within the City of Watertown. There will not be a pre-bid meeting for this project. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each equal to 100 percent of the contract price. All Bids shall be accompanied by a cashier's, certified or bank check, or a Bid Bond equal to at least five percent of the total Bid, made payable to the City of Watertown, such guarantee to be forfeited should the successful Bidder fail to enter into the contract. This contract requires electronic bid bonds which may be submitted through Surety 2000 using contract The City of Watertown reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any technicality, and to accept any Bid it deems advantageous. All Bids shall remain subject to acceptance for sixty (60) days after the time set for opening Bids. Bidders shall prequalify with the City on forms in the bidding documents or on forms supplied by the Contractor not less than five (5) days before the opening of Bids. 1. Surface Preparation: o Pressure wash the entire five-court area to ensure proper adhesion of new surface materials. o Fill and repair all cracks beneath the overlay using an approved route & crack fill method compatible with Titan Trax Shield. o Level low areas to minimize standing water. 2. Titan Trax Shield Installation: o Install new Titan Trax Shield surface on all five courts. o Include a separate Titan overlay seam between each individual court. o Install by stretching and reseaming one court at a time to ensure proper alignment and quality control. 3. Coating and Striping: o Per striping plan, northern courts #6-10 o Apply two coats of Laykold Nusurf o Apply two coats of Laykold Colorflex paint – two tone (color to be determined by City).
