Renovation of an educational facility in Quincy, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.
Work generally consists of the replacement of the medium voltage primary electric services at four locations. New services include new switch cabinet, transformers, secondary metering and services. Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the TOTAL BASE BID. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Quincy School District No. 172 equal to this amount will be an acceptable Bid Bond. The Board of Education is Not Obligated to Accept the Lowest Dollar Bid and Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids or to Waive Any Informalities, Irregularities, Technicalities, or Defects in Any Bid Should the Board Deem It in the Best Interest of the School District to Do So Awards, if made, will be made within sixty (60) days following the opening of these bids. Labor Statutes, Prevailing Wage Rates - In the employment and use of labor, contractors will be required to conform to all Illinois statutory requirements regarding labor and to pay not less than the prevailing rate of wages for all classifications of labor as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor. Prevailing wages are subject to change
