There will not be a Pre-Bid Meeting. Prospective bidders may examine the facilities by scheduling an appointment with Don Anderson, Public Works Director, at danderson@west-chester.com. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check drawn to the order of the Borough of West Chester, or a Bid Bond in favor of the Borough of West Chester in the amount of 10% of the bid price. Said check or bond shall be subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner. No bid may be withdrawn within twenty-four (24) hours prior to the time of the bid opening or within sixty (60) days after the date of the bid opening. Award of Contract, if a Contract is awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder. The Borough of West Chester reserves the right to reject any, and all bids and to waive any bidding informalities.
