New construction and renovation of a multi-residential development in Wyoming, Michigan. Completed plans call for the construction of a one-story above grade multi-residential development; and one-story above grade multi-residential development.

The Kent HOME Consortium, consisting of Kent County and the City of Wyoming and operating through Kent County's Community Action Department, is seeking project proposals from eligible non-profit developers for the new construction or rehabilitation of existing single-family homes. The selected non-profit developer(s) will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project, including permitting, engineering, procurement of contractors, oversight of construction, marketing, homebuyer application review, and the eventual sale to an eligible household. Up to $150,000 in development assistance per home is available through federal Housing and Urban Development HOME grant funds, provided on a monthly cost reimbursement basis. The developer(s) must secure a 25% match of the requested HOME funds and finance the remaining development costs through other sources, which can be repaid upon the sale of the home to a qualifying household. Preference will be given to projects that can be sold to an eligible household at or below 80% of the area median single-family home purchase price. The Consortium intends to enter into up to 10 single-family development agreements, offering up to $1.5 million in total HOME funding.
