Site work and paving for a road / highway in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The general work requested is construction of variable thickness asphaltic concrete pavement, variable thickness concrete base, 9-inch concrete pavement, pavement grinding, 7-inch concrete driveways, concrete curb and gutter, 5-inch concrete walks, installation of conduit and other electrical appurtenances, gravel filling, concrete removals, pavement marking, speed humps, sewer work, water work, CUC adjustments, and related items at N. 39th St./N. Sercombe Rd. from W. Hope Ave. to W. Marion St. All work must be completed by June 12, 2026. The residency requirement is 40% of all hours worked, with one quarter of these hours attributable to specific zip codes. The SBE requirement is 25% of the contract base bid, with the SBE Compliance Plan (Form A) and certificates submitted with the bid. Bid security of 10% of the contractor's base bid is required. Submission may be via Bid Express or email as specified. Incomplete or inaccurate SBE Compliance Plans will render the bid unresponsive. Contractors awarded $25,000 or more must participate in B2GNow compliance software training, and those given the contract must use the Labor Compliance Reporting (LCR) Software for payroll reporting.
